Conversation topics:

  • 1st years: Internships for summer 2021 are starting to open applications, are you ready? Prepare your resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and start mock interviews with CACS or your mentor!
  • 2nd years: Any ideas about job hunting? Maybe it’s a good chance to talk about your career path with your mentors!
  • Industry professionals: How’s working from home going so far? Do you enjoy it? Does it affect your work? Share your ideas with your pairs!

November Activities:

  • This is the month of Diwali, Thanksgiving, and Día de los Muertos, and many more! If you celebrate any of these, share your experiences and traditions.
  • Talk about your favorite aspects of autumn – Do you like to bake/cook seasonal food? Any special traditions in your family/culture?
  • Don’t forget to take a mental break! You could do a variety of arts and crafts together, including hand turkeys, decorating mugs, and fall coloring pages. Going for a walk if it’s safe is a great way to relieve stress as well!

Also, we’re very excited to announce that we were featured on MIIS’ News page! We could never have made it work without your participation and support. Big kudos to all mentors and mentees!

Sincerely,

Caitlin Quiat, Xinyang Chen, Veronica Fried
